Farga Rossell or Rossell Forge only operated for three decades (1842-1876). In the 21st century, it was reopened, after its reconstruction, as an interpretation centre that explains the process of transforming iron ore into ingots and its subsequent trading in the Catalan markets. An immersive show and various audio-visuals introduce the visitor to the world of iron and, in addition, an on-site demonstration of how the forge-hammer worked can also be enjoyed.

Reviving 19th-century heritage in the 21st century, Farga Rossell is a testament to the once-thriving iron industry in the Principality. It tells a story that goes beyond Andorra’s borders, sharing the history of the towns that have lived and survived through this industry.
Mission
Farga Rossell is an interpretive center offering insights into the iron industry through an immersive experience that engages the senses with the sounds and smells of the work. It preserves the memory of the communication networks and trades that fueled the forges of the country, the movement of workers, and the surprising, dynamic Pyrenean world, centered in the Andorran Valleys.
Vision
By transforming the concept of the visit, Farga Rossell should reassert its role in educating the public about the iron industry in Andorra and the daily lives of the forgers and workers involved.
As part of the Iron Route, this path should be further promoted through Farga Rossell, both within Andorra and through collaborations with other related sites.
Thanks to its size and location, it should also become a hub for everyday cultural and social activities, fostering collaborations with various local organizations.
