Espai Columba. Andorran medieval art

The Romanesque churches of Andorra have been sites for the creation of an exceptional artistic heritage. Through masterpieces like the paintings of Santa Coloma and those of Sant Esteve in Andorra la Vella, you can explore an important part of this legacy. These works, along with other artistic expressions, form an essential part of Andorra's cultural identity.

Espai Columba is a cultural facility whose mission is to conserve and exhibit different sets of mural paintings and liturgical objects from Andorran churches. It is a centre for disseminating knowledge of Romanesque and medieval painting in Andorra without forgetting the architectural context and other artistic manifestations that formed part of the divine universe of this artistic style. A visit to the Espai Columba is the perfect complement to a visit to the church of Santa Coloma, one of the most representative examples of the architecture from this period. In the church there is a projection, a magnificent audiovisual show that allows visitors to live an experience that will take them back to the original interior of the church.

Free admission: for national schools and students, social services, visitors with disabilities, Youth Card holders, unemployed visitors registered at Servei d'Ocupació, children under 10, ICOM and ICOMOS members, Targeta Magna holders, Club Piotel's members, their parents and siblings, and all citizens of the Principality on every first and third Saturday and every Wenesday.
