Sant Serni de Canillo

The tallest bell tower in the country, measuring 28.5 metres and built in the 17th century, majestically presides over the town of Canillo. The temple is built next to the Roc del Quer, the mountain that has become a great tourist attraction thanks to its new vantage point.

Even though most of the current temple of Sant Serni dates from the baroque period, the parochial church still contains some remains of the old Romanesque building. The church contains a gothic image of Christ and a baroque altarpiece dedicated to the titular saint, as well as some 12^th-century remains, found during a restoration effort.
