Originally a Romanesque temple, it was deeply modified during the 20th century. Inside, a Romanesque polychrome wooden beam and two baroque altarpieces still remain. The Romanesque apse, with its original Lombard decorations, can be seen outside, as well as the Romanesque bell tower. The restoration underwent by the temple in 1940 at the hands of modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch focused on remodelling the bell tower and the current side entrance by the nearby street, Carrer de la Vall.
